Philosophy of Care

Dovehaven Nursing Home in Southport, Lancs is an example of a more progressive, open minded approach to residential care. Our residents are respected as individuals and we do our best to cater for their every need. We recognise that the necessity of moving into a nursing home and requiring help with personal tasks can feel like a loss of independence. We therefore do our best to ensure that this transition takes place with as little stress as possible.

[ Care ]We value our fully trained and friendly staff as our greatest asset, which is why we have excellent staff retention levels ensuring continuity of care for our residents, which enable specials relationships to be formed between carers and residents. We provide 24 hour nurse coverage with additional trained nurse cover during the day. Dovehaven Nursing Home has also developed good support relationships with GPs and social workers in the local area.
