Mark and Wendy and Luke Gilbert

Dovehaven Nursing Home is owned and run by Mark and Wendi Gilbert along with their son Luke Gilbert. Each member of the family have extensive experience within the care home field and are hands on owners being involved and visiting the home on a daily basis.

[ Staff ] Jan Hunstone

The Manager of the nursing home is Jan Hunstone who is a Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience, 15years of which have been in the nursing home environment. She holds an NVQ level 5 in Operational Management along with a Palliative Care Qualification. Along with the administrative team has overall responsibility for the co-ordination of the various teams who work within the nursing home.

Care Staff

[ Staff ] The nursing team at the home includes experienced registered nurses, who have a wealth of experience as well as several additional qualifications appertaining to the care of the elderly. Our care staff team, have either already achieved their NVQ in care or are working towards it, supported by the nursing staff and manager.

Catering

Another very important team of people are the catering staff. We have two cooks working alongside a support staff in the catering department. The cook is responsible for providing high standards of food and beverages for residents and maintains the highest levels of food hygiene. We have regular reviews of all menus and welcome comments and suggestions from residents and their families on any aspect of the catering service.

Maintenance and Domestic Staff

There are also domestic and maintenance staff working throughout the home, responsible for cleaning, laundry and maintenance services.
