Dovehaven has a great location close the Victorian town centre of Southport, which is a traditional seaside town with a beautiful coastline and plenty of amenities to enjoy.

We are located a few minutes walk from the north end of Lord Street and the nursing home is also within walking distance of Southport Promenade and Hesketh Park. The Southport Marina is at the end of Alexandra Road and is less than five minutes walk.

[ Soutport Pier ]The Promenade

The Promenade is part of Southport’s Victorian seafront featuring a bronze statue of Queen Victoria. Along the Promenade is the beautiful King's Gardens and you’ll also find the Marine Lake where you can take in the views over the water. The impressive Marine Way Bridge crosses the Marine Lake.

Hesketh Park

Hesketh Park is a few minutes walk from Dovehaven Nursing Home and is the largest Park in Southport. The park has a café and a large aviary as well as a number of picturesque walks that take you past the duck ponds and lakes in the park.[ Soutport Pier ] There has been a lot of restoration work under taken in the park recently to restore the conservatory to its former glory as well as reinstating the observatory.

Victoria Park

Victoria Park is a large park at the end of The Promenade that is home to the yearly Famous Southport Flower Show which is held each August. This is tranquil park running along the stunning flower lined ' Rotten Row ' an excellent place for a walk and enjoying the scenery.
