Philosophy of Care

[ Care ]Dovehaven is an example of a more progressive, open minded approach to residential care. Our residents are respected as individuals and we do our best to cater for their every need. We recognise that the necessity of moving into a care home and requiring help with personal tasks can feel like a loss of independence. We therefore strive to retain as much privacy as possible for our residents.

We encourage residents to maintain their independence and to treat the areas of the home as their own. The majority of our staff are NVQ qualified or training towards their NVQ and there are regular residents meetings to enable our residents to be involved in any decisions made about the activities and routine in the home.
