Facilities

[ Courtyard ] At Dovehaven House we have an in house laundry service and seamstress as well as a hairdressing salon on the first floor. We have a local Chiropodist, Optician and ministers of all denominations who are available to visit residents upon request.

We have a full programme of activities arranged by our team including an armchair exercise programme to promote physical dexterity and co-ordination. Our In House Activities Co-ordinator encourages mental stimulation and creativity with a varied programme of other activities and we regularly invite outside entertainers.

[ Accomodation ] We have a specially adapted minibus that we use for twice weekly coach outings to scenic locations within the local region, all of which we have found to be very popular within the home and enhance the quality of life of our residents.

Home cooked meals prepared by our experienced cooks are served in our pleasant dining rooms. Prior to admission we will always ask residents about the kind of food that they like and dislike as well as any specific dietary requirements; wherever possible our staff are always pleased to vary our menu according to residents tastes.

Breakfast - 8am until 9.30am
Lunch - 12 noon until 1pm
Evening Meal - 5pm until 6.30pm
Supper - 9pm until 10pm

Drinks are served upon waking, mid morning, mid afternoon and during the evening and are also available upon request 24 hours a day.
